Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted
Foreign nationals holding a Student Visa or Dependent Visa must obtain a Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted if they wish to work part-time.
With this permission, students may work part-time within a scope that does not interfere with their studies in order to support their living expenses.
Please note:
- There are limits on working hours (see below)
- Work related to the adult entertainment industry is strictly prohibited
Once granted, this permission remains valid within the authorized period even if you change your part-time employer.
What Is “Activity Outside Status”?
It refers to engaging in paid work that falls outside the scope of activities permitted under your current status of residence (visa).
